Day 6 – Video Report – Stuck in My Tent All DAy

I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather on day 5 and enjoy a day to relax and recharge. According to my map, I was only 20 or so miles away from a real campground. So I planned to get an early start on Day 6 and was looking forward to my first hot shower in a week, hopefully by mid-afternoon… But that’s not exactly how things worked out.

Day 6 began with low hanging clouds, grey skies and gusting winds. It didn’t take long for these ominous signs to turn into some nasty weather. Cold rain, snow, sleet and high winds made for a long cold day. Because of the weather, I was forced to spend most of the day in my tent, with my fingers crossed. I’d never had this tent out in high winds before and it was taking a beating from the wind… at times almost laying down flat on top of me.

The good news is that I still have plenty of Clif Bars and Top Ramen, so I won’t starve to death.

In order to pass the time, I decided to edit some old video footage on my GoPro… naturally, the footage I found still on the camera was of a diving trip I took to the Phillippines… oh what cruel irony.

Only cliff bars for food! Do you have enough water? So many challenges!
