Hi There! I’m Dayne Martins and I’m in Deadhorse, Alaska.
Where’s Deadhorse? Well, it’s as far North as you can drive in Alaska on Hwy 11. It’s at the end of the road.
It’s the end of the road… quite literally. If you keep going North, you’ll end up in Prudhoe Bay and the next stop will be the North Pole.
What am I doing Deadhorse? Great question!
I’m in Deadhorse precisely because it is as far North as I could go. From here I will be setting off on what many of my friends are referring to another one of Dayne’s insane adventures.
I am going on a little bicycle ride. I have packed my bike with supplies and a tent, and as much other stuff as I can safely carry.
From Deadhorse, I am going to ride South. From the Northernmost parts of Alaska to Washington State, and I’m going to keep pedaling across the USA until I get to Mexico.
When I get to Mexico, I’m not stopping!
I am going to keep riding south through Mexico and Central America until I reach South America.
Will I stop then? No!
I will am going to keep riding south until I reach the end of the road in… Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego Province, Argentina.
That’s right, I am setting out on a solo bike ride of more than 15,000 miles (25,000 km).
Along the way, I will be documenting my journey via this blog and of course all the usual social media channels. If you’re curious about my adventure, follow me, send me some love or come out and give me a wave if I pass through your town.
